Welcome to the Columbia County Firefighter's Association.
The association was started in 1984 by Rocky Roberson, James Drake, Troy Anderson, and Mike Boyett. They started the organization so that all fire departments in the county could get together and buy a repeater and have pagers to respond to fires instead of having a phone list that was called when a fire was reported. They also wanted all fire departments on the same frequency. Almost 20 years later, we have 14 fire departments on the frequency and only one in the county that is not (it's municipal). The association is a passive organization that helps all fire departments become one and get things done. Our VHF repeater has the largest coverage area in South Arkansas, according to two radio services. Feel free to e-mail us at info@arccffa.org about anything you would like, especially learning how to protect your home from fire. Read our By-Laws here.
